“I think it’s a fantastic event. It’s good to see all the students having fun with cross cultural exchanges. Hopefully we’ll make a change in the community.” ~ Dr. Anthony Ho
The various health tests comprised of: Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure and lipid profiling, while two booths speaking on sanitation and consultation respectively were included as well. The first 100 residents were gifted a goodies bag after their consultation.
Daniel de Gruijter, co-founder of Incitement KL, a partner for Taylor’s Community dropped by at the event and shared his experience with us, “I was very enchanted by a little girl that we talked to about washing her hands. This kind of basic skills that we think are completely normal but apparently not so normal everywhere. So it’s very important that something like this happens.”
Fellow committee member of PPR Sri Pantai Community, Encik Mohd Isa expressed his gratitude to Taylor’s for reaching out to them, easing the community especially to much senior ones who experiences trouble walking in order to get their health checked.
Encik Isa too hopes more events as such will be available to their community and expresses his interest on behalf of PPR Sri Pantai in supporting future events of Taylor’s.
