We are going around people from different country and different culture. Yet, today\u2019s world is more xenophobic than ever before. Today\u2019s modern people believe in more stereotypes regarding other nations than what one would expect. Today we tend to generalize, fear and exclude \u201cthe other\u201d more than our previous generations. Therefore, the need to exchange culture is crucially important.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5195\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/csr.taylorsedu.my\/taylorscommunity\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2019-03-04-at-17.39.55.jpeg?resize=475%2C356&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"356\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cultural exchange is more meaningful for the underserved community where they can\u2019t get access to the external world. Taylor\u2019s community has initiated art and cultural exchange project with underserved communities, not only one but three in one week. It\u2019s started with young refugee children aged 4 \u2013 6 in Pertubuhan Pusat Kebajikan Destiny, followed by the maginalised community at SOLS.ai with youth aged 17 \u2013 22 and lastly with Rohingya children aged 12 to 17 at Rainbow of Love (Pelangi Kasih). The art and cultural exchange project were led by international interns from Japan and Korea. The underserved communities learned about Japanese and Korean culture in this project.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5196\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/csr.taylorsedu.my\/taylorscommunity\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_5331.jpg?resize=317%2C212&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"317\" height=\"212\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5191\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/csr.taylorsedu.my\/taylorscommunity\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_5286.jpg?resize=318%2C212&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"318\" height=\"212\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The impact collected after three days of cultural exchange indicates that more of these kind of projects needs to be conducted in the future. An average of 80% of the participants improved their knowledge about Japan and Korean culture, multiple of snaps captured their enjoyment during the project and they have stated that their bonding with friend improved through this activity.
