The Showcase Bazaar was successfully held for 3 days from 28 November to 30 November 2018 at Ruang Legar CIMB, Menara Bumiputera Commerce, Kuala Lumpur. 54 participants from PPR Sri Pantai, Kg. Limau, Gombak Setia, Sungei Besi, Kg. Muhhibah and Lembah Subang opened a booth as vendors for the event. The types of products and services showcased included food and beverages, tailoring service and massage service.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>The objective of the bazaar was to allow the participants of \u00a0Program Keusahawanan (PK) Taylor\u2019s- CIMB Islamic 2.0 to implement the various knowledge and skills they have obtained during the PK University classes. For example, one of the classes taught the participants to create their own marketing collaterals. They then printed them out as posters, buntings and banners for the bazaar.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The bazaar was very inspiring for the Taylor’s Community team as we observed participants’ growth. It was the first time joining a bazaar for many of the participants, some explained that they have never networked with corporate workers before and it was truly eye-opening how different it can be. The team was also shocked to see how most participants did not view each other as competitors but instead came up with a marketing strategy on how to compliment each other’s product and generate more revenue.<\/span><\/p>\n

The highlight of the bazaar happened on the 3rd day as the Group CEO\/Executive Director of CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, YM Tengku Dato\u2019 Sri Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz and Encik Mohamed Rafe bin Mohamed Haneef, CEO and Executive Director of CIMB Islamic dropped by the bazaar. It was a humble experience seeing Tengku Zafrul and Dato Haneef interacting with the participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

There were many challenges faced by the participants but all 54 of them managed to overcome those challenges and be present at the bazaar. The team is proud to say that majority of them managed to generate profit from the 3 days bazaar. Some of the participants even went beyond their effort to collect feedback and name cards from their customers.<\/span><\/p>\n
