Get Rewarded Learning!

Last Saturday, before class started, one of the PK Participants, Ahmad Sahmulaili bin Ahmad Bastoni, surprised the other 70 participants with breakfast, using some of his profit gained from The Showcase Bazaar!

The morning started off with an introduction to Touch ‘n Go’s latest e-wallet app. Touch ‘n Go launched this app to not only promote the cashless, e-wallet concept but also to help SME merchants earn from the platform.  Platforms like these help the PPR entrepreneurs a lot to promote their product and services to a wider market.

However, the real fun session was the Showcase Bazaar Sharing and Award ceremony. The session was hosted by May Wong, Manager of Group Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility, a total of 9 participants were rewarded. The categories included the Top 5 Most Creative Booth, the Top 5 Booth with the Best Marketing Strategy and Early Bird Awards. The awarded participants shared their journey and expressed their gratefulness as it was their first time joining a bazaar as a vendor.

“Normally sehari I akan order 120kg of nenas untuk buat Jus Nenas I. Tapi untuk Bazaar ini, saya order 450kg!” – Noor Zeehan, PPR Sungei Besi.

After the bazaar, Taylor’s Community decided to cater the PK University Class’ lunch from our own participants. It was our first time catering from Abdul Malek bin Omar, PPR Sri Pantai. As expected, his Nasi Hujan Panas received many compliments! Taylor’s Community encouraged the PK Participants to pitch their catering business to the team if they wanted us to cater from them.

The day continued with a session by Ms.Mas Marlena. Ms Marlena talked about the ways to identify different aspects of stress and the methods to acknowledge those stress. Participants had a lot of fun during the session as a lot of interaction activities were carried out.Meanwhile, the Program Kembara Kanak-Kanak  (PKKK) class had an incredible turn out involving  43 children. Various activities were carried out to instil a sense of responsibilities and teambuilding habit amongst the children. The children were happy and excited to return home with a bag of goodies and balloon. Taylor’s Community hopes that the programmes have taught and impacted the participants in more ways than expected. We hope that they are able to overcome their challenges in life in order to have a better future.
