Taylor’s Community kembali lagi di tahun 2023 dengan misi kami untuk memperkasakan komuniti usahawan terutamanya para alumni program komuniti bersama Taylor’s Community sebelum ini melalui latihan berstruktur untuk mendapat titik pencapaian terbaharu dalam kehidupan mereka dengan menjadi Train-The-Trainer (TTT) untuk program komuniti yang akan datang.

Seramai 13 orang alumni menghadirkan diri untuk mencabar kemampuan mereka untuk menjadi tenaga pengajar setelah berjaya menempuhi perjalanan sebagai peserta program sebelum ini. Kami berjaya menjalankan sesi latihan TTT bersama in-house trainer kami, iaitu Amalina, Nabilah, Adibah, Ramzi, Attilya dan Hannah pada 15 hingga 17 Mac. Kami amat berbangga melihat semangat dan perkembangan para usahawan ini selepas melalui program keusahawanan komuniti bersama kami. Diharapkan ilmu dan perkongsian yang dikongsikan semalam menjadi batu loncatan untuk perkembangan setiap individu yang hadir.

Nantikan perkembangan terkini watak-watak hebat dalam komuniti ini dalam perjalanan baharu mereka sebagai TTT bersama Taylor’s Community!

The CIMB #MicroBizReady 2022 Program for the OKU Cohort is now closing with the selection of 3 winners for the Monitoring Phase throughout December 2022 to February 2023. Congratulations to the winners and all the participants who committed until the end of the Monitoring Phase 👏🏼 🎉🎊

In addition, congratulations are also extended to the winners of the Elevator Pitching Competition conducted during the Education Phase of the CIMB #MicroBizReady2023 Program for the Klang Valley Cohort! It is hoped that the success of these entrepreneurs can fuel the enthusiasm of the participants in this Cohort to go through the Monitoring Phase with full commitment! 🎯

Speaking Without Words: A Body Language Workshop

On Saturday 25th February 2023, we conducted a children program called ‘Speaking Without Words’ at Taylor’s Lakeside Campus. This program was a collaboration program with Taylor’s University Psych Society Club whereby the children of B40 community gets to learn about interesting topic on body language. Through this program, they were taught on the understanding of the different types of body language, how to use it correctly and how to express their emotion through body language.

Around 17 students participated in this program where the first half of the session is the learning syllabus on body language that is conducted by Ms. Pang Chia Yee, one of the Taylor’s Psychology lecturer. The students also get the opportunity to understand about the topic better through group activities that was carried out by the Psych Society students. As a result, 88.2% of the participants agreed that they can applied what they learn in this program to their daily life.

At the end of the program, Psych Society has chosen top 3 students with best participation throughout the program. The lucky winners are Mohammad Mukhlis bin Mohammad Zulfikar, Ahmad Mu’adz bin Mohd Zulfikar, and Siti Hajar bt Mohd Rafae.

AseZ RCT Project: Autonomous Choice and Responsibility, Self-Control over One’s Behaviour

On the 23rd February 2023, we held our second program of Reduce Crime Together Project with AseZ. The RCT project will now be held at one of our refugee beneficiary, MON Refugee School. A total of 24 participants attended this second program on ‘Autonomous Choice and Responsibility, Self-Control over One’s Behaviour’.

This session focused on how the participants can make their autonomous choice by participating in a class meeting activity. As a result, 74% of participants understands how to apply types of self-control behaviour in their day-to-day life such as being calm and patient. Furthermore, the participants were able to further develop their skills in teamwork (75%) and how to manage their emotions (58%). Overall, the participants were happy and had fun with the program and we are pleased with the outcome of the program conducted by AseZ.

AseZ RCT Project: Understanding My Various Characters

Our first collaborative effort with AseZ in support of their Reduce Crime Together Project kicked off to a good start! We got 30 participants of refugee students from three different refugee beneficiaries, MON, GHALC and Rainbow of Love school to attend the first program on ‘Understanding My Various Characters’. All the participants came with high spirits to learn the key elements to build a good character development. As a result, 80% of participants understands ways to develop their own self-identity.

Moreover, the 62% of participants felt their self-confidence boosted from doing team activities with their new peers from different schools. Also, AseZ provided the opportunity to show the participants on various Korean Culture Activities which they were extremely excited to try. Among the participants, they enjoyed playing YutNori and Jae Gi Cha Gi as it enabled them to build their team building skills. Overall, the students were happy with program and we are pleased with the outcome of the program conducted by AseZ.

IT Literacy Program

IT Literacy Program

Taylor’s Community is holding our first program in partnership with SEAL, the IT Literacy Program. The program is in collaboration with students from Taylor’s Agents of Tech Club at Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus on the 11th of March 2023.

This is the first ever children program this year that will be attended by both B40 and refugee children. 60 students in total from both beneficiaries will be exposed to basic computer knowledge and skills such as introduction to computer, basic applications (Google, Microsoft Office) and also Canva.

At the end of this program, the students will get the opportunity to participate in activities conducted by Agents of Tech and could stand a chance to win an amazing prize! Do stay tune for more updates from this program!
