On 25th March 2023, with the support from Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL), Taylor’s Community and Taylor’s AKPK students initiated an educational talk on Financial Literacy called Cents of Wealth. A total of 24 refugee students from our beneficiary schools, MON and GHALC joined this program in Taylor’s Lakeside Campus to acquire knowledge on financial literacy. The participants learned about the importance of saving and earning money as well as budget planning. The participants began the class with a 70% understanding of Financial Literacy and ended the sessions with 88% of the knowledge received.
The module was conducted by AKPK students, Ed Idris and Ching Nam. Ed conducted the saving & earning money module, while Ching Nam led the budget planning module. The participants agreed that the most important factors to save money were Protection (75%), followed by Financial Goals (70.8%). They also learned the importance of planning their budget more effectively by understanding the differences between needs and wants. This method will instill a good habit in managing their finance by knowing what to spend and when to save money.
Moreover, the participants also had the opportunity to participate in activities and games carried out by AKPK such as Quizziz and Pictionary. At the end of the program, 10 lucky winners were chosen by AKPK, where the participants were rewarded based on their active participation during the activities and who scored the highest on the quizzes. The winners each received an RM60 AEON voucher for their efforts throughout the program. All the participants also received a gift bag that contained items such as a calculator and a money-saving box. They enjoyed the program and 100% agreed that the program was helpful for their future.

Jom lihat impak daripada kelas ke-3 bagi program RHB #Jombiz!
Sabtu lalu kelas ke-3 fasa edukasi ke-2 telah berlangsung buat Program RHB #Jombiz. Pada hari tersebut, peserta didedahkan dengan 2 module iaitu pertama Kebolehsuaian Perniagaan Dalam Era Digitalisasi oleh En Rawi, Founder Onlinejer.com
dan module kedua yang khusus buat IKON RHB tentang Pengurusan Masa yang Berkesan oleh trainer En Azim iaitu Pegawai Psikologi dari PKD Gua Musang. 100% mengatakan tahap pemahaman dengan topik Kebolehsuaian Perniagaan dalam Era Digitalisa telah menanjak naik dan 97% bersetuju topic ini dapat membantu perniagaan masing-masing untuk berkembang lebih maju! Untuk module Pengurusan Masa yang Berkesan pula, 91.7% peserta menyedari bahawa topic ini adalah sangat penting untuk menjadi seorang ketua yang di segala bidang! Hebat!

Hari yang penuh dengan ilmu! Kelas pertama Program Keusahawanan PruKasih Taylor 2023 telah berlangsung pada hari Sabtu 13 Mei 2023, di mana peserta memulakan program dengan mempelajari tentang diri mereka dan perniagaan mereka. Program dimulakan dengan sesi suai kenal yang diketuai oleh En Mad Rizal dari Prudential Malaysia. Para peserta diajar untuk mengetahui personaliti mereka serta pelanggan mereka untuk meningkatkan jualan. Modul pertama telah disampaikan oleh, Mama Cindy yang menyentuh topik “Vision Board” dan Objektif Perniagaan. Ia adalah sesi yang penuh emosi ketika dia menyelam jauh ke dalam hati para peserta untuk merangkul impian dan visi mereka. Bahagian kedua kelas diketuai oleh pelatih Taylor’s Community sendiri, Belle di mana dia telah menerangkan kepada para peserta elemen dalam membina Profil Perniagaan dan Cadangan Jualan Unik unutk perniagaan mereka. The 3rd class of Reduce Crime Together Project with AseZ was on ‘Empathising with Others’. It was held at one of our refugee beneficiary school, MON Refugee School where a total of 22 students attended for the program. The participants had to engage in a rolling paper activity which enabled them to practice their emphatic ability to understand other’s emotions. So, about 68% of them learned the different ways of communication to express their emotions when they are the most happy and most worried. As a result, 80% of the participants has a better understanding on how to practice empathy such as to smile to everyone on a daily basis, and to consider others’ feeling by taking care of each other.
Overall, the participants were excited and found the program interesting, hence, we are pleased with the outcome of the program conducted by AseZ. Taylor’s Community will like to thank AseZ once again for another successful program! Stay tune for the upcoming programs with AseZ in the near future!

Taylor’s International Women’s Day Celebration happened on 11 March 2023 with an attendance of 26 participants. The celebration kicked off at 9 am with BollyX Workout session where participants gathered at Taylor’s UniSquare for a 45 minutes workout to Bollywood songs! Next, we had a forum titled “Emotional Management in Digital Era” where we talked about the risks of social media to female users of all ages. Our panels were Yuzila Yusof, a certified trainer, and Nadia Halim, a social media influencer. They shared the advantages and the dark side of the internet and how we can benefit from it if we manage our emotions properly. Lastly, we had a talk on Business Digitalization by our Taylor’s Community member. The participants learned a lot from the session.
